Review Guidelines
Mary's Review Policy
Please include in your request:
Title, cover, synopsis, and link to your book either Goodreads or Amazon.
Target reader audience/age group. (Please note I only review non-religious books written for kids, tweens, and teens with only a few exceptions.)
Tell me why you think I would enjoy the book AND why you think it’s a good fit for me.
When you need the review done by and whether or not you are flexible about that date.
Please make sure to let me know if the book you are requesting a review on is part of a series. If it is a later book, please also provide me with the earlier books in the series so I know where the story fits.
I will do a video review upon request if I have a physical copy of the book. If you are interested in this, please mention it in your request.
Please note that I accept these book formats: ebooks, Bound Books (Hard or Paper), Arcs/Galleys.
Also, I'd love to know where you found me (Melanie Rockett, IndieView, Reedsy, or somewhere else) along with your Twitter handle so we can connect there, too.
What you can expect:
You will get an honest and professional 200-300 word review from me prior to your deadline.
I will post my reviews on Goodreads and Amazon (and YouTube if you're willing to send a physical copy). If you have other places you'd like me to place a review, please let me know in your request.
I will notify you when your review is posted via email with a link.
On the very rare occasion that I feel your book is not ready to be reviewed, I will email you back with an explanation of why. I'd rather have you rework something than give you a bad review!
I am not compensated for the reviews I write other than the book itself.
If you would like to know more about how I approach writing reviews, please see my IndieView Interview here.
